New bird screen erected at Druridge Pools
A new bird screen has been installed at Druridge Pools to offer birdwatchers a better view of the wildlife which visits the area each year.
Northumberland Wildlife Trust put up the screen to replaces a wooden one which was vandalised towards the end of last year. It was financed by money from the Castle Morpeth Extra Mile Fund.
Duncan Hutt, Head of Land Management at Northumberland Wildlife Trust said: "We were disappointed when the screen was vandalised last year, but undeterred, we joined forces with St George's and Cleveland Sitesafe to ensure that, as soon as the conditions allowed, a replacement was put up."
